Thanks for an outrageously fun salon this past Saturday! Performers included:
Larry Zbikowski (acoustic guitar)
- Pavana IV & Fantasie XXXV by Luys Milán, 1536
- Gallarda & Fantasía que contrahaze la harpa en la manera de Luduvico by Alonso Mudarra, 1546
- Etude 3 by Heitor Villa-Lobos, 1929
- Three Venezuelan Waltzes by Antonio Lauro, 1938 (the last two of which appear in the video below):
Luciano Ristori (an award-winning physicist at Fermilab), who practices magic in his spare time:
Sidney Nagel & Young-Kee Kim, our gracious salon hosts, prepared ice cream (with assistance from Heinrich Jager) using liquid nitrogen:
And yours truly played a few selections on the crocodile piano including "The Umbrella Man," a 1930s Sammy Kaye song; and "A Garden full of Posies" from the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta, Ruddigore.
